The Sandy Eggo EUCHRE Group
History

As with many Navy towns Euchre has been played in Sandy Eggo for many generations.  Our group was formed from Mid-west transplants and Navy veterans in 1988.  This was the year of the first Sandy Eggo Super Bowl – a coincidence?   And we’ve been playing Euchre once a month ever since.  The group has grown through friends-of-friends, marriages, and births.  As friends and partners we have also had to share the losses through transfers, divorce, and death.  And through it all, we’ve remained friends anxious for our monthly get together.

With twelve regulars in our group we usually play three tables, although to keep three tables going we do occasionally have need of an alternate.  We play progressive where each present plays eight hands with each of the others present, following a set of ‘house rules’.

Please email Euchre with your questions or comments.  Thanks for stopping by!
